Happiness
I recently read this article in time magazine about happiness being contagious. As a therapist, I’ve held the belief that the goal of therapy is individual happiness. I’ve also held the belief it is difficlut to be happy when surrounded by negative energy. This article, supported by research, says having friends who are happy helps your happiness. Maybe you’ll find the article helpful.

I LOVED this article because it’s so true.. Happiness IS CONTAGIOUS. As well as sadness.. When you are surrounded by positive, happy people you become more confident, more positive, you see life in a different way, you don’t think so much of your problems or others problems.. But if you’re surrounded by negative people you INSTANTLY start talking, thinking about problems in general, seeing the bad side of everything, which makes you sad and unhappy. I take EVERYBODY’S problems personal.. i think about them, pray for them and its going through my mind NON STOP! So I have learned to choose positive people that surround me and personally IT HAS MADE MY LIFE BETTER AND HAPPIER!
Thank you for this comment Nicole. I’m glad you have realized one of the aspects to living a happy life and are applying it. To me, much of what it takes to be happy is much like the rest of life: simple to understand, difficult to apply (for reasons too numerous to discuss here). I’m glad you are able to apply some.
