I was the presenter for a seminar on “Cognitive, Behavioral, and Mindfulness Based Therapies for Addiction and Compulsive Disorders” this weekend. I eliminated the review of the three forces of therapy for brevity (though you still may find it long, it’s half the length). Of course, there was much more discussion then the slide show conveys. You can view the slide show at the link below.
The link above allows the download of a slide show from a presentation I did on March 4, 2014, for students at FIU when I was asked to speak about relationships. Some of the material is from a similar presentation I did on 2/13/12, which can also be found here.
I was the presenter for a lecture on Family Communication today. Of course, there was much more discussion then the slide show conveys. You can view the slide show at the link below.
This evening I’m doing a presentation for FIU Student residents on “Are You Addicted: Substance Use and College Life”.
I figured I’d put a link to the slide show for those interested. (Just click Below)
These are the slides (minus some media) from my presentation on February 13th, 2012. The songs listed were played, and there was some minimal discussion of their meaning. The presentation focused on definitions of love, sexual attitudes and the importance of communication and closeness, and on making relationships work. Below is the suggested reading page, which offers online personality tests related to the topic as well as books and articles related to the material in the slides. Additionally, the presentation made the front page of the FIU paper “The Beacon”, and it is shown. Hopefully this is information is helpful.
